Spink Letters

A collection of letters from Mary A. Spink to Pension Office during the early 1920s.

Mary Spink was the widow of George Spink, a member of Company D, 2nd Rhode Island Infantry. Upon his death Mary filed an application for widow's pension. She encountered great difficulty obtaining a pension and wrote numerous letters to the Pension Bureau pleading her case.
