I am a junior at Radford University pursuing a degree in History. I will graduate in the Spring of 2021, and may go on to pursue a Masters degree as well. 

History has always been a passion of mine that I think my dad instilled in me through our own family history and my immersion of photos and documents since I was very little. 

I hope to continue his work because of the skills, tips, and tricks I have learned through my time at Radford as well as this Digital Archives class.

I have a penchant for American History and local history of the New River Valley, Virginia. Of the areas I've studied are American Social History, the Civil War, Virginia History, Europe Since 1890, Modern Germany, African Civilizations, Asian Art History, and Southern History.

Ford Kawood Lucas is my Great-Grandfather. Letters and Naval documents from his time serving in the U.S. Navy during World War I, along with his biography and family tree are on this site.
