U.S. Naval Records 

Included within this collection are deck logs and after action reports from various U.S. Naval vessels. The ships  presented here range from the Civil War up the Vietnam War. The deck logs and after action reports that were studied allow for an understanding of the day to day happenings aboard a ship. Deciding to use ships from different eras in United States history allows a chance to see how customs and the workings of the ships have changed and stayed the same.

Included in this project is a glossary of terms that may not be common place, so if questioning any of the words, phrases, or abbreviations please feel free to look over the list of terms.
