Dear Miss Lydia

                                                 I will write you a few lines to let you know that I got home safe + sound + never got crippled you tell Mr. Akers50 I am incline to think he jokes sometimes    well I got a little wet while crossing the mountain but not enough to hurt the hardest of the rain went around to me left I expect it rained hard a bout Hylton did it not  

       I got home earler than I expected I rode a little harder than I expected on act of the rain wanted to get out of the mountain before it get lightening so much. dont like to be on a mountain when it is thundering + lightning I got home by 320 oclock Monday but never stoped for dinner. for I was in the mountain at 12 oclock. well I am very gratefull to you for the nice time I had while at Hylton it was so nice I will have to go back a gain soon. I want to come a gain when Laura comes eather bring her over or come after her

      There is one thing I wish I had done. + that is had brought that picture over here + had me one made I think you look so nice in that picture dressed in white I will bring it next time if you will let me it is a good thing I put in that word let [?] is it51 I hope you will have a nice time at the association have you heard from Mr. Quesenberry52 yet but of coarse you have or if you have not yet you will soon what I can hear my play house with the girls over here is tore down to the ground but I can stand that all

     as long as my play house stands up at Hylton but if it was to fall then I would fall. + what a let down    I would get all a round but as long as it stand I dont care how may of the other ^play house lalls.53  There has been about 3 or 4 doyou questions asked about the ring54 I have of yours. it is helping to throw my play houses but still I stick to it + will. How did Harvey55 Come out Sunday did he get left or did he make the other lads leave I see whare he is right in going when [vertical] he did
