Miss Lydia

My Dearest Girl

I again have the pleasure of answering your kind + highly appreciated letter which came to hand a few days a go and was real happy to hear from one you      I always look forward to the time recieve a letter from you      you say your Pa will bigun to open my letters when he bring them to you     that was good when you said he would have chance read them I expect he will. some of these days I expect sooner than he would like to

no  I see no reason why we should not be as happy a two little doves as you say as you say whare true is happiness is also that is just right and I know your are true and I am true + expect to be so we can get along all O.K.      as you say we need not expect to glide along smoothe all of the time      every body has more or less troubles and you have truely said life is just what we make it. Contentment has a great deal to do with it. I have seen some of the worst aflicted at all and they seemed to perfectly happy contented with their lot

so you have not much sympathy for Wille and Albert      well really I have not much my selfe      I saw Wille Sunday she seemed to be very independent more than I ever saw her in my life, I expect she has given up all hope. Albert sent Laura Pratt one of his pictures so Ida was telling me Edith told her you know she cant keep any thing to save her life. Well I guess you have found out what Albert had to tell you. so you think

he would like for us to spilt up I think if we were to spilt up it would do him any good would it and you are not going to tell him when we get married I dont blame you I am not going to Wille any thing she might make a strike as you say. and get married before we let her go if she wants to so Dr Harmon has been to see you lately did he say how he herd we were going to get married or was it just supposition with him think it must have been something of the kind for no one know when we are to be married

Dr + Lane must think something shure enough did you go driveing with Lane I know he said a plenty about us. Lane is a verry good kind of a fellow I would like to have been over when Mr Hurst was over I saw him in Pulaski in a resturant often he went out I asked who he was is the way I come to find out I dont think he regonized me and you think Lura will stick to him do you makes no diferance what happens that is the

kind of a girl to have one that will stick under all circumstances is worth her weight in gold and I believe you are that kind of a girl if I had not thought so would not have asked you to be mine I flater my selfe on haeving such a true girl I think I can come over some time about Xmas. will have to get some body in my place90 while I am gone. yes I think we can decide whe we will marry then as you say it seem like we cant by writing I know we can

by talking I am glad that May or June will suit you. and we will fix the day when I come over. Simon dont want you to marry now how long did he say he wanted you to wait I will just say this much when would like to please every body but when we decide to marry our time will have to suit as we are the parties consirned more so than any one else. well I hope he dont seriously object how does he like studying medacine

he is my favorite among the boys and of coarse you amongst the girls George Hill and Edie left this morning and it is terrible cold on the boy. Well as I am just summonsed on a Corners Jury I will have to close write soon ever.

     your true Eldred
